Stepper box

I had a go at making another 3D item last week and decided to try a stepper box for the first time, so here it is.
This is another sneak peak as I've used some gorgeous designer series papers from the new Stampin up mini catalogue. It's out tomorrow, so not long to wait until you can see the wonderful new things SU have for us to play with.

The main box folds up to hide all the little boxes inside.

I've used Marina mist card stock for the main body of the box and the flower daises die to make the flower for the top using the new papers out tomorrow.

Thanks to another SU demonstrator Kirsteen for her clear instructions on how to make the box.

Reading Regional Training and a Sneek Peek

I went to my first ever Stampin Up regional training at Reading yesterday. What a fabulous day I had. Loads of great inspirational talks and so many ideas, I'm bursting with them. I met some lovely people including a wonderful lady I first 'met' a couple of years ago on Trimcraft forum that I finally got to meet in person. I got some wonderful swaps too, I went to bed with them at the side of the bed last night, as the last thing I did before I went to sleep was look through them all again.

Here's the name badge that I made and wore for the day.

I also made a project from the new mini that we were all asked to take with us for one of the display boards. The new Stampin up mini catalogue comes out in a couple of days, so this is a sneek preview of one of the fantastic stamp sets and papers that's in the new catalogue.

Anway I'm now bursting with ideas, watch out for some posts over the next few days showing you the new wonderful new products in the mini catalogue.
Happy crafting

I've been a busy bee....

If blogger does at it's told then this post should go live whilst I'm at Stampin Up regional traning in Reading. It's my first ever training so I'm excited and nervous at the same at. I hope to come back with lots of new idea and make some new friends. One thing that people do at training is make swaps for each other. Here's mine that I made. I managed to make 36 of these little packets that contain Harribo sweets.

I've used DS Nursery Nest paper pack, vanilla and pretty in pink cardstock. Pretty in pink grossgrain ribbon, the butterflies were made using the beautiful embosslits die and I also used the modern label and word window punch for the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

Angry bird punch art

My two boys and I had fun the other week making these cute Angry birds.
I found a turorial for them on a blog which you can find here.
They were pretty easy to do and I think look really effective.

I made one of them into a card for my Nephew, it's his birthday tomorrow.

I used all materials from SU for the bird (as detailed on the tutorial I linked to). For the card I also used the word window, modern label and birthday stamp from SU. The background paper and nephew stamp is non-SU.
Happy crafting.

Simply soft

Here's the second card that I made yesterday. I used another hostess set called Simply soft. I used the two step stamping to colour in the petels in blue (Marine mist ink).
I've used the SU papers from the last sale-a-bration offer that has sadly ended, but I love the papers so much I couldn't help but use them again.

I've used Marina mist and whisper white card stock and chocolate chip ink for the stamping. The sentiment stamp is from the curly cute stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mocha morning

Morning, today I have to show you a selection of cards I made using the mocha morning speciality paper pack from Stampin up. These papers are so pretty and some of them are flocked so you can't help but stoke the papers...or maybe that's just me!!

This first one also  uses the butterfly prints stamp set, curly cute thank you stamp , chocolate chip ink, butterfly punch, scallop edge border punch, chocolate chip cardstock and dazzling diamonds glitter.

The second uses the truck from the need for speed stamp set, curly cute birthday greeting both stamped in chocolate chip ink. I've also used some linen thread.

My final card using these papers uses the Marry me stamp set, again stamped in chocolate chip. The little punched hearts are from the owl builder punch.
The Marry me stamp set is only available to buy from the spring mini catalogue until the end of the month.

Thanks for looking.

Two more girly cards

And here's the final two cards that I taught at my class this week.
I just love the colours in this first one, very girly.

Recipe: Stamps - Simply soft hostess set, pretty in pink ribbon, tiny tag stamp set, jewelry tag punch, wistera wonder and melon mambo card, square lattice embossing folder, lucky limeade and melon mambo ink and DP from brights DP stack. Finally the butterflies were made using the beautiful wings embosslits die.

This last card was actually the first card that I taught at the class as I thought it covered the basics of stamping.

The background is stamped in red riding hood ink and the main design was stamped by using the Stampin write markers directly onto the stamp. Both stamps are from the SU just believe stamp set. I've using the boho blossoms punch for the flowers and added some SU twine.  I found the gems amongst my stash (non-SU). Finally the sentiment is from the happiest birthday wishes hostess stamp set and punched out with the scallop circle punch.

Thanks for looking.

3D bag

This is the 3D bag that we made at my craft class earlier this week.

I got all the measurement from a Youtube video by Francestamp which you can find here

I think it's so sweet, it looks complicated (well I thought it was when I first saw it), but once you knew all the measurements it was quite easy to make.

Recipe: Tangerine orange and whisper white card stock. DP paper from the  Berry Blossoms paper pack which you can get free with the current SU promotion (spend £45 and choose one of four free paper pack free). I've cut out flowers from the berry blossoms paper using the boho blossoms punch and flower daisies die. I've added brads to hold on the handles (these are non-SU, although SU do have them, it's just that I don't yet!!). The clasp is made using the modern label punch and held together at the front using adhesive velcro. The birthday greeting is stamped in Pumpkin pie ink using a stamp from the happiest birthday hostess stamp set.

Monsters about.....

I finally got round to playing with my monster stamp set. They are so cute, but I found you really need a Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up all the parts of the monsters.
My card is very similar to an easel card by Monica Gale which you can find here

I've used tempting turquioise and crumb cake cardstock. I've used a few different inks including: island indigo, chocolate chip, real red and tempting turquioise. After stamping up the monsters I then coloured them in. Added some circles to the planet and linked the edges in island indigo.
I think I'll be using this stamp set more, it's just perfect for birthday cards for my boys friends.

Carrot boxes

My two boys (age 4 and 5) love playing in Mummys craft room and had lots of fun yesterday making these little carrot boxes which are filled with eggs. They even managed to put all the eggs into the boxes without eating them.
See the look of concentration of Liam whilst making the top of his carrot

They followed a video from You tube which you can find here
Here's there finished carrots, they look very proud of them as you can see
They've used pumpkin pie card, DP from the brights collection, scallop punch, easter egg stamp from the Easter blossoms set.

Deisgns from my lastest card class

I have some cards to show you that we made at the lastest card class in Messingham. Welcome to the new members that joined, we had lots of fun and everyone completed four cards and easter treat boxes filled with easter eggs. I taught with my Mum again, so I have to give her credit for the design of the male cards we made.

The first card uses the sail away stamp, real red, pacific point and not quit navy card, not quite navy ink. Scallop, word window and modern label punch. There's also a bit of blue denim ribbon on it.

Here's the Eater card we made with the Easter blossoms stamp set, wistera wonder and crumb cake ink, wistera wonder and whisper white card. The blossoms are coloured in with a blender pen using regal rose ink.

This was a card my Mum designed using her new young vermillion stamp, she's very proud of this card as it's very effective even though it's a simple design. It's made using chocolate chip ink, well worn paper, teeny tiny wishes sentiment stamps and the edges of the paper and doodling were made using a pacific point stampin write marker.

We also made a treat box which I've shown before on my blog.
The next class in Messingham is 5th May, for this class we'll be going girly with some pink and glittery projects.

I'm not able to get in my craft room this week as it's the spare room that my in-laws are sleeping in this week. They go home on Friday after doing a great job of looking after my boys for the week. I have some new stash arriving tomorrow so I can wait to get playing with it over the weekend, the hard decision will be what to use first.
Thank for looking,

Workshop Make and Takes

I held my first ever workshop on Friday evening at a ladies night held by one of my work collegues. Despite my nerves it ended up a success with a lot of laughs and some happy ladies who enjoyed all the projects. They felt like kids again using glue and sticking things together. Here's the cards that the ladies made, they had a choice of two which differed by the stamp set used. They also got to make a Easter treat packet complete with Easter eggs.

For the Easter treat packet I used the Stampin up pillow box die cut out in Pumpkin pie, a happy Easter stamp from Easter Blossoms stamp set in not quite navy. The owl was punched out using the owl builder punch in crumb cake, whisper white and pumpkin pie card and designer series brights paper.

For the first card, I used papers from the SAB everyday enchantment paper pack, lucky limeade card, SAB floral vintage stamps in calypso coral ink and the sentiment stamped in lucky limeade ink punched out with the modern label punch. I've also used the scallop border punch.

The other card that guests could make was very similar except I used poppy stamps from the marry me set stamped with red riding hood red ink and island indigo card.

Everyone had a great time and went away clutching the card and treat box they'd made feeling very happy with themself. I was also very happy demonstrator as I enjoyed sharing my love of crafting with some lovely ladies.

I also held a card making class over the weekend, so look out for my next post showing you the projects we made at the class.
Happy stamping.
